With Gill Cob on the Telkwa in Canada

Not so very long ago on the Telkwa
When flyfishing in British Columbia
A big Canadian called Cobb
Laughed at me and told me to stop

He forcefully recommended that first day
To fish like the men on the River Spey
He patiently taught me the style
And yes It took me quite a while

Now I love to cast with my strong Bruce-and -Walker
I fish for steelhead like a professional stalker
Now I cast with two hands even the Double Spey
And Gill Cobb is forever a friend to stay
